On May 26, Leyard and Unilumin Technology successively released investor relations activity records, revealing the company’s latest business progress.
Leyard: Focusing on humanoid robots, LED cinemas and Micro LED
Leyard disclosed its latest progress in humanoid robots, overseas markets, LED cinemas and Micro LED.
In terms of humanoid robots, Leyard's wholly-owned subsidiaries Natural Point (NP) and Virtual Point Company have provided services to many domestic and foreign robot companies. However, due to confidentiality agreements, relevant customer information cannot be disclosed.
NP's core product OptiTrack is a high-performance full-body motion capture system that integrates high-speed and high-resolution tracking cameras and optical tracking software. It is widely used in VR games, digital film and television production, drones, biomechanics, simulation training, visual design, motion analysis, and industrial measurement.
In the field of AI and machine learning, NP products have been widely used in automobile and aerospace manufacturing assembly lines, welding robots, pipeline and nuclear tower inspection, aircraft scanning, robot puppet control, smart home appliances and service humanoid robots, etc.
In terms of overseas markets, Leyard has formed a European and American market team with "American Planar" as the core, and an Asian, African and Latin American market team with "Hong Kong Leyard" as the core. In 2024, the company officially launched the "dual brand" strategy and added the "Leyard" brand to cover the high, mid and low-end markets, thereby promoting sales growth of LED rental screens, outdoor displays, all-in-one machines and other products.
In the Asia, Africa and Latin America markets, demand in this region has grown rapidly in recent years, and the company continues to increase product research and development, team building and market expansion. In 2024, Asia, Africa and Latin America's revenue will account for 34% of overseas smart display revenue, a year-on-year increase of nearly 40%. At the same time, the company has already built a factory in Slovakia and plans to expand production capacity according to market conditions and accelerate the construction of factories in Saudi Arabia to gradually implement the "foreign production and export" strategy.
In terms of LED cinema business, in June 2024, Leyard and China Film Group jointly established "China Leyard" to carry out in-depth cooperation around cinema display. At present, China Leyard's full line of LED movie screens have been certified by DCI and the China Film Science and Technology Institute, covering full-size spaces from VIP halls to giant screen halls, meeting the diversified needs of cinemas. As of April 2025, its "Huanying Island" LED cinema has signed more than 20 projects across the country.
In terms of Micro LED, Leyard has continued to promote the development of this technology in recent years. Micro LED has accounted for approximately 14% of display business revenue in 2024. In 2025, it will increase the promotion of Micro LED in domestic and overseas markets, and further enhance product competitiveness through measures such as expanding production, shortening delivery cycles, and reducing costs, making this business an important driving force for future performance growth.

Unilumin Technology: Developing Mini/Micro LED and AI Innovation
Among the two major business segments of LED display and lighting, as of the 2024 annual report, Unilumin Technology's LED display business accounted for 92.49% of total revenue, becoming the company's main source of profit. Although the LED lighting business accounts for a relatively small proportion, it also shows a certain market share in specific scenarios such as urban landscape lighting and commercial lighting, contributing to the company's overall profits.
In the face of the industry's continuous upgrading development trend, Unilumin Technology is actively promoting the research and development of high-end Mini/Micro LED product lines to meet the pursuit of display effects in high-end application scenarios such as high-end professional displays, commercial displays, and home theaters. In addition, the company's LED+AI strategy has been upgraded to build an intelligent and scenario-based innovation ecosystem with end-side applications as the core driver.
In early 2025, Unilumin's Agent platform has successfully connected to multiple mainstream models such as Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, DeepSeek V3 and R1 to achieve comprehensive design of AI capabilities, and launched innovative AI products such as AI holographic companion assistant, AI interactive fish tank screen, holographic transparent cabinet, as well as the self-developed Shanyin large model and UniVMLM model.
In terms of R&D investment and patent layout, in 2024, the company's R&D personnel will reach 1,124, accounting for 19.94% of the group's total number of employees, and R&D investment will reach 376 million yuan, accounting for 4.84% of revenue. The company granted 370 new patents throughout the year, including 81 invention patents. As of 2024, a total of 3,231 patents have been authorized and 286 software copyrights have been registered.
The company is also actively promoting the expansion of production capacity, investing in the construction of a "Micro&Mini LED display and lighting production base" in Nanchang High-tech Zone, covering COB and MiP packaging production lines, etc. The products will be widely used in Mini/Micro LED display and lighting fields. The total investment amount of the project is 600 million yuan, covering plant, equipment and working capital.
In terms of overseas markets, Unilumin Technology’s overseas revenue in 2024 will reach 4.777 billion yuan, accounting for 61.45%, a year-on-year increase of 18.33%. The company expands overseas markets through localized layout and hierarchical marketing system, while using exchange rate risk-neutral strategies and derivative financial instruments to effectively cope with the impact of exchange rate fluctuations.
In addition, the company continues to advance its layout in the digital exhibition hall business. Following multiple museum projects, it will provide immersive LED light display solutions for the China Pavilion and other national pavilions at the 2025 Osaka World Expo.
