On May 26, LG Display (LGD) official website reported that in April this year, LGD’s transparent OLED display has been applied to the platform doors of the Yeouido Station in Seoul, South Korea. These screens can not only display Seoul's new single-line subway map, but also provide operational information, emergency evacuation and other content to facilitate passengers to understand subway information.

It is reported that the most basic function of a subway platform door is to provide a clear and visible internal and external environment. LGD's transparent OLED display has high transparency, thinness and lightness, and can directly replace glass windows. While retaining safety performance, it can also display maps, operational information, advertisements and other content on a large-size screen.
LGD stated that the company’s transparent OLED displays have been used in traffic scenes in many countries. This technology has been introduced in the subways of Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Chongqing, as well as the JR train public transportation system in Japan.
