Recently, Shentianma stated in an institutional survey that the company's Micro LED production line has achieved product lighting in June 2024 and achieved full process integration by the end of 2024. It is expected to gradually have the ability to ship small batches in 2025.
Shen Tianma introduced that the company’s Micro LED business focuses on vehicle-mounted display and spliced display applications, and simultaneously explores large-size screens, consumer displays, wearable displays, and professional display applications. The company has launched innovative project cooperation with industry leading car companies, PID terminal manufacturers, and consumer brand customers, and has jointly released its first product in the PID field with partners.
In the field of Micro LED, Shentianma’s 1.63-inch, 403PPI Micro LED display product is the world’s first glass-based product with the highest PPI. In addition, the company has also made breakthroughs in automotive Mini LED products, which have been shipped in batches to major customers at home and abroad. The company has launched a technical solution that achieves an ultra-high display contrast ratio of more than 1,000,000:1, and continues to iterate on technology.
It is worth mentioning that since this year, a number of Micro LED projects have made important progress, including BOE Huacan, Novision Technology and Chongqing Konka Optoelectronics and other companies' active layout in the Micro LED field.
On March 19, BOE Huacan Micro LED factory held a product delivery ceremony for the world's first 6-inch Micro LED mass production line in Jinwan District, Zhuhai, and released the latest Micro LED products, officially delivering COW and MPD products to customers.
On the same day, Novision Technology also announced that its Micro LED microdisplay chip phase one mass production line has officially been put into production. This production line focuses on the production of Micro LED microdisplay chips in the fields of AR/MR wearable devices, micro-projection systems, HUDs, digital car lights and other fields. It uses VSP technology combined with 8-inch integrated circuit technology and is committed to achieving mass production with high performance, low cost and high yield.
In addition, on March 7, Changzhi High-tech Zone signed a cooperation agreement with Chongqing Konka Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. to build an MLED advanced manufacturing center and future display terminal product projects. The project will be constructed in three phases, mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of MLED display technology, and aims to build the North China regional headquarters.
On January 15, West Lake Yanshan Technology Co., Ltd. signed a Micro LED chip project cooperation agreement with Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. This project focuses on the research and development of full-color AR/VR high-density Micro LED chips, using wafer-level three-color thin film integration technology to improve process yield and simplify the manufacturing process.
