Innovation in vehicle display technology: dual improvement of interior smart cockpit experience and exterior styling value

Judging from the development trend of vehicle-mounted displays, vehicle-mounted display technology has entered a new era of large-screen, intelligent, and multi-screen. Currently, in-car displays are mainly based on LED display backlight solutions, and in-vehicle interior applications are concentrated on discrete instruments and central controls. At the same time, the market's demand for high resolution, high brightness, wide color gamut, and regional dimming and other functions continues to increase.

According to TrendForce consulting data, global automotive display panel shipments will reach 213 million units in 2024, a year-on-year increase of about 4%. The overall scale will still maintain a growth of 3%-5% in the next three years.

With the continuous evolution of vehicle display technology, interactive screens or interactive lights on the front and rear of the vehicle body exterior have gradually become one of the core elements of automobile styling design, promoting the development of human-vehicle interaction in a personalized and situational direction. This trend not only improves the visual effects of automobile interior and exterior decorations, but also brings more intelligent and interactive possibilities to the driving experience.

In terms of automotive interior backlight applications, Jinko Electronics provides a variety of solutions, covering Mini COB, side-type, direct-type POB devices and modules and other technologies. In terms of automotive display interior backlight and module technology, Jinko Electronics has accumulated deep technical strength through years of cooperation experience with major customers, allowing the company to more accurately understand the needs of automotive-grade applications and provide better solutions. For example, through dimming and coloring technology and ultra-high color gamut technology, richer and more delicate display effects can be achieved; at the same time, relying on technologies such as high-voltage chip dynamic dimming and flip-chip high-light-efficiency packaging to optimize power costs, improve energy efficiency, and provide high-performance, low-energy consumption solutions for automotive displays.

Taking the 15.6" Mini COB product solution as an example, it uses 1590 Mini LEDs for independent lighting control, with a peak brightness of more than 2000nits, an OD of less than 5mm, supports regional dimming, and has ultra-high color gamut technology. These features significantly improve the contrast and color performance of the display, bringing an excellent visual experience to interior applications.

In the field of automotive exterior direct display interactive applications, Jinko Electronics has conducted a lot of research and development work, and its many innovative interactive technologies have demonstrated excellent performance and broad application potential.

Jinko Electronics has launched a variety of automotive-grade Mini LED devices to meet multiple pitch applications from P1.0 to P4.0. Through the combination of POB or COB and integrated module technology, it has formed an interactive module product solution for applications from P0.6 and above. It has excellent brightness output and high reliability, providing strong support for the intelligent and personalized development of the automotive industry.

Jinko Electronics' P1.5 POB RGB interactive module is designed using automotive-grade Mini 1010 devices. It is the industry's first all-in-one ultra-long interactive module. This module has no seams and adopts an integrated conformal design to present an extremely delicate full-color display and continuous and smooth animation effects. Relying on a precise electronic communication control architecture, the module supports functions such as high temperature protection and automatic correction of brightness and color, ensuring high stability and long life of the product in harsh environments.
