Exports (to the United States) of LED lighting products in the first two months of 2020 were nearly US$400 million

In the first two months of 2020, my country exported LED lighting products to (the United States) totaling US$409 million, accounting for 25.4% of the overall export volume. Today I would like to introduce to you the export situation of LED lighting products (to the United States) from January to February 2020.

1. LED lighting exports to the United States declined slightly

According to statistical analysis of customs data by CSA Research, my country's LED lighting products exported to the United States in the first two months of 2020 totaled US$409 million, a decrease of 0.15% from 2019. Although the overall export volume has not changed much from the previous year, it fluctuates significantly every month. It rose by 26.60% in January, but fell by 54.67% year-on-year in February due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.

2. Distribution of exports of LED lighting products (to the United States)

From the perspective of export category structure, in the first two months of 2020, bulbs (excluding unlisted lamps) still accounted for the largest proportion of exported LED lighting products, accounting for 29% of the overall export value, followed by tube lights, translucent lights, light strips, etc., accounting for 1 of the overall export value. 9%, 9%, 8%. Compared with 2019, the proportion of product categories has undergone major changes. The export proportion of bulb lamps has increased by 12 percentage points. The export proportion of tube lamps has exceeded that of floodlights, which has increased by 6 percentage points year-on-year. Floodlights have declined by 4 percentage points year-on-year.

3. The export (U.S.) pattern of each province has not been greatly affected

The export (U.S.) situation of each province in the first two months of 2020 has not changed much compared with 2019. In the main In terms of export provinces, Guangdong Province still leads the way, accounting for 43% of exports. Zhejiang Province and Fujian Province rank second and third respectively, with export proportions of 23% and 20% respectively. The differences in export proportions of other provinces are more obvious, and the overall trend has little impact compared to the pattern in 2019.

4. Situation of enterprises exporting LED lighting products (to the United States)

As of February this year, the ranking of my country's LED lighting product export (U.S.) companies has changed little in the past six months. Among them, Zhangzhou Lida Xin Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. has been at the top of the list for the past six months except for February this year. Xiamen Longshengda Lighting Electric Co., Ltd., Shanghai Qiangling Electronics Co., Ltd., and Xiamen Tongshida Lighting Co., Ltd. have fluctuated in the 2-4 positions. Among them, the concentration rate of the top ten manufacturers in terms of export volume in the first two months of 2020 is 28%.
