Seven companies including Mulinsen and Haijia Group announced increases in LED product prices

According to multiple media reports, since the beginning of 2025, many LED-related companies have announced product price increases. According to incomplete statistics, as of March 14, many companies such as Signify, LEDVANCE, Schneider, Haijia Group, and Mulinsen have issued price adjustment letters. The main reason for the adjustment is the increase in raw material costs.

Signify

On February 1, Signify issued a "Notice on: Price Adjustment of Philips Traditional Products in 2025" to its partners, announcing that starting from February 1, price adjustments will be made for multiple series of traditional products of the Philips brand. The highest increase is 10%, and the lowest increase is 3%.

Signify said that as the supply of raw materials for traditional products continues to be in short supply, the prices of various raw materials have continued to rise, which has had a greater impact on the cost of our products. In order to better provide long-term high-quality services to customers and partners, the company has decided to increase the sales prices of traditional products related to the Philips brand starting from February 1, 2025. Among them, Halogen Lamps, TL Starters, and CDM Elite Lamp have the highest price increases, reaching 10%.

In addition, according to foreign media reports, Cooper Lighting Solutions, a subsidiary of Signify, notified agents and distributors on March 11 that it will implement a 5% price increase on related products.

It is reported that Genlyte Solutions, a commercial lighting brand under Signify, has also issued a notice to agents and distributors, announcing that starting from March 24, 2025, the prices of some LED lamps, electronic equipment and controls will increase by 5-8%. This adjustment also applies to lighting products including poles and brackets.

LEDVANCE

On January 16, LEDVANCE, a subsidiary of Mulinsen, issued a "Product Price Adjustment Notice" to dealers, announcing that starting from March 1, the market prices of multiple series of its products would be adjusted, with the highest increase being 10% and the lowest increase being 5%.

LEDVANCE stated that in view of the tight supply of raw materials for traditional products in recent years, the prices of various materials and the average production cost have continued to rise. In order to continue to provide high-quality products and services to the market, it has decided to adjust the market prices of multiple series of products starting from March 1. Among them, six categories of products: plug-in tubes, ring fluorescent lamps, ceramic metal halide lamps, electronic energy-saving lamps, HID electrical appliances, and anti-UV yellow light tubes saw the highest growth, reaching 10%.

Schneider

On February 24th and 25th, Schneider Channel Sharing Center issued two price adjustment notices in succession. One is about the price adjustment of terminal power distribution products, and the other is about the price adjustment of switch panel products.

The products Schneider will adjust prices this time include miniature circuit breakers, switch panels, accessories, ground plugs, wiring boxes, and track plugs. The price increase is basically between 1% and 3%.

Schneider said that the main reason for the product price adjustment is the increase in raw material prices, labor costs and transportation costs.

Haijia Group

On March 1, Fujian Haijia Group issued a "Price Increase Notice" to customers: "Due to recent changes in the market environment, the price of raw material PCB has increased, resulting in a significant increase in our material costs. In order to ensure product quality and service levels, we have to make appropriate adjustments to product prices."

The products adjusted by Haijia Group this time are indoor/outdoor conventional LED module series, with an adjustment increase of 0.5-1 yuan/piece. The above adjustments will officially take effect from March 1.

Mulinsen

On February 28, Ji'an Mulinsen Display Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mulinsen, issued a "Contact Letter" to customers and partners, highlighting that "due to the increase in raw material PCB prices, the company has carefully considered and decided to adjust the module price. The price increase will take effect from March 1."

The module products adjusted by Mulinsen this time include 320*160 P2.5, P2.0, P1.8, P1.5, and P1.2. The price increase is basically 0.5-1 yuan/piece.

Summary

The rising costs of upstream raw materials have become the main reason why many LED companies announced price increases this time. Companies adjust prices to maintain profit margins and product quality, which also shows the industry's response strategies when facing cost pressures.

For downstream customers and the market, this may indicate that fluctuations in LED product prices will become the norm in the short term. In the future, with the changes in the raw material market and the improvement of corporate cost control capabilities, the price trend of the LED industry still requires continued attention.
