PICO held a developer conference to showcase new Micro OLED VR products

According to "XR Control" reports, on March 2, PICO held a press conference for developers, launched the next-generation space operating system PICO OS 6, and disclosed the technical information of the 2026 flagship hardware "Project Swan".

For the display, Project Swan is equipped with a new generation of customized Micro OLED screen and self-developed optical design. The central visual area PPD exceeds 45, which can meet the clarity standard of replacing physical displays.

In terms of hardware, Project Swan adopts a dual-chip architecture, including a self-developed XR dedicated chip, achieving end-to-end latency of less than 12 milliseconds, and is equipped with a flagship SoC that more than doubles the performance.

In addition, Project Swan will be equipped with the latest PICO OS 6 operating system, which has major upgrades in terms of graphics performance, multi-modal interaction and developer tool chain, further improving the spatial computing ecosystem.

According to reports, PICO OS 6 introduces the "seamless flow" architecture, aiming to improve the compatibility of 2D applications in 3D environments. Through a unified spatial kernel, the system enables 2D Android applications to run in 3D immersive space, improving the integration of digital formats and physical space.

In terms of interaction, the system is designed with efficiency, intuition and openness at its core. It supports spatial multi-tasking through the PICO Spatial Engine, allowing users to open and operate multiple applications simultaneously in three-dimensional space. Adaptive input and "Cloud Crystal" design language further optimize the visual and operating experience.
