Optimistic about Africa's economic strength, Samsung will set up a new factory in South Africa

Optimistic about the huge market growth potential in Africa, Samsung plans to set up a new factory in South Africa and will also tailor-made home appliances for African countries. It is hoped that the brand can penetrate into local life and create revenue.
The South African government plans to establish a special economic zone in the duty-free zone "Dube TradePort" near Durban to activate local investment activities, and Samsung is the first manufacturer to enter. According to the "Seoul Economic Daily" report, Samsung is optimistic about the strength of local economic development and estimates that its revenue in Africa in 2015 will reach 10 billion US dollars.
In fact, many years ago, Samsung launched LED TVs, washing machines and other home appliances in Africa. Not only did its sales performance shine, but its market share also took a leading position in the region. In order to promote more diversified products, Korean media predicts that Samsung will target wealthy local customers at the exhibition in Cape Town, South Africa, and release high-end TVs and refrigerators, allowing the company's brand products to penetrate into local life.
According to statistical analysis by the Economist Intelligence Unit Ltd. in London, it is estimated that by 2016, more than half of the countries in Africa will have an annual gross domestic product growth of 5%. Samsung’s choice to set up a new factory in South Africa this time shows that Africa’s economic strength cannot be underestimated.
