Lianjia expands overseas production capacity, and new factory in Mexico is expected to mass-produce in the third quarter of next year

On March 27, LED car lighting module manufacturer Lianjia held a briefing. Huang Fangyu, general manager of Lianjia, said that the four major automakers in North America are all long-term customers of Lianjia, and the North American market accounts for 80% of Lianjia’s sales performance.

Huang Fangyu pointed out that Lianjia automotive module shipments have exceeded 74.03 million units, and new vehicle shipments have reached 15.67 million units. Three of the top five best-selling pickup trucks in North America are supplied by Lianjia, including Ford Raptor, Ram 1500, and GMC Sierra. Many electric vehicles also have Lianjia ODM products.

Since 2019, on average, 1 out of every 6.2 to 10 new cars in the North American market has used LED light source modules supplied by Lianjia. This year, due to the injection of new projects, North American sales have grown significantly, with an average of 1 out of every 6.5 new cars using Lianjia products.

Huang Fangyu pointed out that Lianjia's Michigan factory in the United States was close to breaking even in the first quarter, mainly because the company merged street lights and other products from California to Michigan. The company is also currently making automation adjustments, hoping to receive larger orders from customers.

Huang Guoxin, chairman of Lianjia, said that Lianjia also plans to move the AI and monitoring systems from vehicles to smart street lights to reduce the power consumption of vehicles due to calculations. Lianjia's role is a system integration factory, and the company has applied for relevant patents.

Huang Guoxin said that Lianjia also has more than 20 years of experience in marketing signal lights and street lights in North America. It has distribution and agency channels for signal lights/street lights in 37 states. In the future, it plans to participate in the promotion of the North American Al smart network, including applications such as edge Al computing centers and AI smart light poles.

Lianjia's Mexico plant is expected to mass-produce in the third quarter of next year, and the output will be further expanded in 2027. The Mexican plant's production capacity will be the largest among all plants, with 18 production lines in the first phase, mainly because there are six of the world's top car lighting factories nearby.

Since the production cost of the Mexican factory is relatively low, it will be able to cooperate with customers to ship to all parts of the world. It is expected that the first phase of the Mexican factory will be fully loaded in 5 to 6 years.
