LG Display’s automotive OLED screen wins orders from well-known car companies

Recently, LG Display (LGD) announced that the company has won a vehicle display project contract from a world-renowned automobile manufacturer.

LGD stated that this project is the result of the close cooperation and joint efforts of the company's product planning, sales, development, process and other departments. The company broke through the traditional path of product supply through automotive electronic system suppliers (Tier 1) and successfully signed contracts directly with automobile manufacturers.

For this project, LGD will provide customers with P-OLED technology displays. The screen uses flexible plastic as the substrate, which is lightweight and bendable while maintaining high display quality.

It is reported that LGD is already one of the world's well-known automotive panel suppliers. In 2024, LGD's automotive display business revenue will be 2.281 trillion won (approximately 12 billion yuan), breaking through the 2 trillion won field for the first time.

Currently, in the field of automotive display, LGD mainly provides LCD and OLED panels, with applications covering central control screens, instrument panels, passenger entertainment screens, rear seat entertainment screens and electronic rearview mirrors.
