Investment reaches 2 billion, Suzhou Huaxing Optoelectronics LCD module project passes fire inspection

On April 30, Suzhou Huaxing Optoelectronics Display Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Suzhou Huaxing Optoelectronics) high-end LCD module project successfully passed the fire inspection and acceptance, which marked a key step for this project with a total investment of 2 billion yuan to officially go into production.

According to reports, the Suzhou CSOT high-end LCD module project is an important measure for TCL CSOT to enhance its core competitiveness in the mid-to-large size market, build a high-end display module base, and achieve the ultimate and efficient intelligent manufacturing factory goal. The project covers an area of 24,000 square meters and has a construction area of 117,000 square meters. After completion, the annual production capacity will be more than 20 million pieces, and its customers include global mainstream terminal manufacturers such as Samsung, TCL, Xiaomi, LG, Lenovo, and HP.

Suzhou CSOT was formerly known as Suzhou Samsung Display Co., Ltd., which was later acquired by TCL CSOT and completed its name change. The company is mainly engaged in the processing and production of LCD monitors and related products, and carries out import and export of goods and wholesale of electronic components.

It is worth mentioning that the technological transformation projects of Suzhou Huaxing Optoelectronics are also continuing to advance.

According to Suzhou News in January, because some of the company's production line equipment has been in service for more than 15 years and cannot meet the current precision manufacturing requirements for high-end display products such as high refresh rate, high curvature, and ultra-high definition, Suzhou CSOT decided to launch an intelligent technology transformation project for high-end display module factories.

The project will deploy the company's self-developed AI visual quality inspection system to achieve 100% online intelligent detection of micron-level product defects through deep learning algorithms, with a detection rate as high as 99.9%, completely overturning the traditional manual quality inspection model.

Ding Jian, director of Suzhou Huaxing Optoelectronic Display Co., Ltd., said: "We will introduce many AI applications, including some 5G expansion projects, which will be of great help to intelligent manufacturing applications, energy efficiency improvements, and product cost competitiveness. After the project is completed, the company will generate more than 4 billion yuan in revenue."
