TrendForce pointed out in the "2023 Micro LED Market Trends and Technology Cost Analysis Report" that with the launch of Apple's new watches equipped with Micro LED displays and the launch of products, the output value of wearable Micro LED chips will rapidly expand to US$172 million and US$463 million in 2024 and 2025; the annual compound growth rate of output value from 2022 to 2027 will push up to 873%.
★Many LED manufacturers have announced product price adjustments
Recently, many LED packaging and terminal companies have announced product price adjustments. In the context of continued decline in product prices and rising prices of upstream materials, most manufacturers have chosen to increase product prices, ranging from 3.5% to 20%.
TrendForce’s survey found that LED supply chain companies generally have a strong willingness to increase prices. In addition to the number of companies that want to increase prices, some LED chip companies are full of orders, and the items to be increased are also expanding to reduce losses and proactively reduce low-margin orders. ★AUO Peng Shuanglang takes over as chairman of Fucai Holdings

According to news on June 1, the Xiamen Future Display Technology Research Institute, hosted by the research team of Professor Zhang Rong of Xiamen University, has built the world's first 23.5-inch (G2.5, 370mm×470mm) Micro LED mass transfer process demonstration line, developed multi-application scenario, high-performance display MicroLED chip products, achieved high-yield, high-efficiency mass transfer processes, and illuminated monochrome and full-color chip array products.
★Unilumin Technology’s LED movie projection system has received DCI certification again
On May 30, Unilumin Technology announced that the company’s LED movie screen, Unilumin UC-A42, successfully passed relevant inspection tests and became the company’s third movie projection system product to obtain DCI certification. Previously, Unilumin Technology’s UC-A41 and UC-A21 movie screen products have obtained DCI certification in 2021.
