AU Optronics and Aledia have reached a cooperation to jointly develop Micro LED display, optical communication and other technologies


On May 21, AU Optronics and Aledia, a French Micro LED technology company, announced a strategic partnership. The two parties will combine their respective advantages in technology and manufacturing to jointly develop a new generation of Micro LED display technology that combines high brightness, low power consumption and high resolution. Fabric.AI plans to demonstrate Micro LED optical interconnection platform by the end of 2026


According to news on May 20, Fabric.AI, an American artificial intelligence infrastructure company, announced that it will demonstrate its flagship Micro LED optical interconnect platform by the end of 2026. It is reported that Fabric.AI’s core product Neural I/o is an optical interconnect platform based on Micro LED, jointly developed by Fabric.AI and micro-display company Kopin. The platform is designed to solve increasingly prominent bottlenecks in AI infrastructure, including data transmission efficiency issues between GPUs, accelerators, storage systems and servers within the data center.

Nationstar Optoelectronics was approved to raise 970 million yuan, focusing on the deployment of smart vehicle and display modules


On May 18, Nationstar Optoelectronics announced that the company was officially approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission to issue shares to specific targets. The company plans to raise no more than 981 million yuan, and all the raised funds will be used for ultra-high-definition display Mini/Micro LED and display module product production and construction projects, photoelectric sensing and smart health device industrialization construction projects, smart home display and Mini backlight module construction projects, smart vehicle device and application construction projects, Nationstar Optoelectronics R&D laboratory projects, and supplementary working capital.

Thunderbird Innovation received additional financing, accelerating the launch of Micro LED glasses


Recently, AR glasses company Thunderbird Innovation completed a new round of financing. This round of financing was jointly participated by Jiantou Investment, Puxin Capital, Jinyu Bogor, YOFC Fund and other institutions. At the same time, on May 18, the company's registered capital increased from RMB 151.269 million to RMB 171.6904 million.

AoShi Technology completed over 100 million yuan in Series B financing, accelerating the industrialization of Micro OLED/LED new photolithography process

News from Sichuan Mianyang Industrial Park shows that on May 20, the main factory building of Mianyang Huike project in the new display industrial park completed the concrete structure capping, which was completed ahead of schedule. It is understood that the Mianyang Huike Mini LED project is located in the east area of ​​Sichuan Mianyang Industrial Park in Fucheng District. The total investment in the first phase is 5 billion yuan. It plans to build 12 backlight module production lines and 8 direct display module production lines. After it is put into operation, the annual output value is expected to be 7 billion yuan.

Sichuan Nanchong M-LED chip factory has entered the capping stage


On May 20, the major industrial supporting infrastructure construction project in Nanchong High-tech Zone, Sichuan made new progress, and the main chip factory has entered the capping stage. In May 2025, Huike signed a 10 billion yuan full-color M-LED chip base project with Shunqing District, Nanchong, Sichuan, with a planned monthly production capacity of 1 million pieces. The first phase of 150,000 pieces of production capacity will help Nanchong develop the display chip industry. The project officially started on October 13 of the same year.

Zhejiang Xihangyi Electronics LED display project was put into operation


On May 21, "Chun'an released" news that Zhejiang Xihangyi Electronics and other smart manufacturing projects will be put into operation this year. Among them, the Zhejiang Xihangyi Electronics Project has a total investment of 150 million yuan. It is also located in the Pingshan area and has built a production workshop of approximately 8,000 square meters. It mainly produces LED display modules, LED displays, LED light sources and other products. The project equipment investment exceeds 100 million yuan and is equipped with intelligent production lines.
