On February 23, foreign media reported that sports equipment company Garmin has recently officially lowered the prices of some models of its flagship outdoor smartwatch Fenix 8 Pro. This price adjustment is mainly for the 51mm high-end version equipped with Micro LED display technology.
According to the latest information from Garmin’s official store, the market retail price of the Fenix 8 Pro Micro LED model has been reduced from US$1999.99 to US$1699.99, a decrease of approximately 15%. At the same time, the prices of models in the same series equipped with AMOLED screens remain unchanged.
Information shows that Garmin was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Kansas, USA. It is the world's leading supplier of GPS navigation and wearable technology. Its product lines cover five major fields: aviation, navigation, automobiles, outdoor sports and fitness. As the flagship product line of Garmin outdoor sports watches, the Fenix series has always been known for its durability and long battery life.
In September 2025, Garmin released the Fenix 8 Pro watch series. Its core selling point is the first large-scale application of Micro LED displays in outdoor watches, with a pixel density of 326PPI and a peak brightness of 4500nits. The watches also integrate satellite communication and cellular network connection functions.
Relevant media pointed out that this price adjustment may be related to Garmin’s product replacement cycle. Current market rumors indicate that Garmin plans to launch the new Fenix 9 Horizon series in the second half of 2026. In addition, Garmin has recently launched Quatix 8 Pro, which is targeted at the marine market segment. By adjusting the price of Fenix 8 Pro, Garmin can make reasonable pricing space for different function-oriented products.
From the perspective of market distribution, this price reduction currently has strong regional characteristics. Data shows that this price adjustment measure is mainly reflected in the North American market. As of now, Garmin's official channels in international markets such as the United Kingdom and Europe have not yet followed up on this 15% drop. Consumers in these regions still need to purchase the Micro LED version at the original price.
