Full color chip! Savlus launches multiple new quantum dot MLED products, empowering LED large screens to enter a new era of color

As the current display material with the highest color reproduction, the application of quantum dots in direct display products is advancing rapidly. Relying on the world's unique nanopore quantum dot (NPQD®) patented technology, Saphlux has realized the in-situ integration of MLED chips and quantum dots, and has taken the lead in successfully applying this technology to the commercial production of quantum dot red light chips. It has achieved large-scale implementation in quantum dot COB direct display products, covering an area of thousands of square meters. Recently, Severus has successively launched quantum dot MLED products in customized wavelength bands such as yellow and green, breaking through the limitations of traditional red, blue and green chips and pushing the industry into a new era with adjustable chip colors.

Quantum dot green light chip: solve the problem of traditional green light uniformity and achieve the Rec.2020 color gamut standard

Quantum dot green light chip based on blue light excitation will enter the mass production stage in the near future. The chip achieves nearly 100% green light output covering the Rec.2020 color gamut standard, and the wavelength consistency is controlled within ±1nm within a 4-inch wafer. It is significantly better than traditional InGaN green light chips and has significant advantages in color uniformity across the entire screen. At present, the 0307 size quantum dot green light chip has passed a full set of verifications such as the reliability of high-end COB samples with a pitch of P0.7 and below, and will be launched on the market in the second half of the year.

Quantum dot yellow light chip: portrait master, assisting virtual shooting and high-end design

Savlus has completed sample delivery of 580nm wavelength yellow light quantum dot MLED chip, with external quantum efficiency exceeding 8%. By integrating with traditional RGB chips, an RGB+Y four-color pixel structure is constructed. The four-color pixel structure is specially designed for high-end virtual shooting screens, professional and design application scenarios that have extremely high requirements for skin color restoration and high-fidelity image restoration. It can significantly enrich portrait details and greatly improve display quality.

Three-in-one RGB chip: three colors on a single chip, the ultimate solution for cost reduction and efficiency improvement

In the direction of high integration, Savlus is promoting the development of "RGB in One" three-in-one chips. This technology integrates red and green quantum dot materials on a single blue MicroLED chip to achieve full-color RGB display on a single chip. This solution effectively simplifies the chip transfer and die-bonding process, reduces equipment investment costs, repair costs, and about 60% of transfer costs. It also significantly improves pixel consistency and overall screen image quality stability, bringing a new breakthrough path for MicroLED high-precision display.

Red light chip: environmentally friendly, color cast-free, killer solution for high-end large screens and CAVEs

The R-series red light chips that have been mass-produced by Savlus use a quantum dot color conversion solution. Compared with traditional AlInGaP chips, they have more precise color point positions, narrower half-peak width, and stronger temperature and current stability. In the COB package, because the red, green, and blue chip substrates are consistent, the entire screen has almost no color shift at a wide viewing angle.

Data shows that under the same system configuration, the color temperature change range of QD-COB screens at the maximum 85° viewing angle is more than 15 times lower than that of traditional COB; in high-end immersive scenes such as CAVE, the color deviation at 60° side viewing angle is reduced from the traditional 15% to less than 3%, and the color accuracy is increased by more than 5 times, which greatly improves the immersive experience.

In addition to being used in traditional and emerging high-end commercial display scenarios, QD-COB quantum dot direct display products made from R-series quantum dot red light chips are also helping more display products break through original technical difficulties - Recently, Savlus used QD-COB products to help a customer with a seamless LCD screen splicing solution. Its advantages of large angle and high color accuracy are matched with the large viewing angle of the LCD itself, and it serves as the seam part to help the LCD screen eliminate black seams. This solution breaks the traditional LCD size limitations, takes into account the immersive look and feel and cost control, and expands the new application boundaries of QD technology in the commercial display field.

Dr. Song Jie, Vice President of Technology at Safulus, said: "The unique nanopore structure provides a stable and efficient packaging environment for quantum dots, significantly improving light efficiency output and chip reliability, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale application of quantum dots in COB direct displays. Currently, Safulus Si has established a mature and efficient mass production system for quantum dot MLED chips. As quantum dot material technology continues to make breakthroughs, we will launch quantum dot chips with more wavelength options. We are confident that we can work with various industry partners to jointly develop more high-quality quantum dot direct display products."

Lu Changjun, a partner of Safulus and chief technology officer of Leyard Group, said: "In the past year, the outstanding performance of QD-COB direct display products in the terminal market has been obvious to all. With its excellent color reproduction capabilities and outstanding differentiated positioning, it has won widespread market recognition. This year, Leyard launched a new MG The NPQD® cold screen series products have been further optimized in terms of chip packaging and system design, and have formed synergies with Severus to inject new vitality into the COB commercial display market. In the future, Leyard hopes to accelerate the implementation of more terminal products through multi-color, three-in-one and other types of quantum dot chips, expand diversified small-pitch differentiated direct display products, and even expand into the home market. ”
