Edison's Q2 revenue expected to increase, new plant schedule adjustment will not affect full-year production capacity

LED factory Edison held a press conference on the 15th. Deputy General Manager and Spokesperson Xu Zhengdian said that the second quarter revenue is expected to be better than the first quarter due to the increase in working days. The new Zhongli plant, originally scheduled to be delivered at the end of the second quarter, has been postponed to the third quarter, but this will not affect the overall production capacity plan for this year. The company currently only pays 15% of the price, and will proceed with subsequent equipment deployment after completion and acceptance.

In terms of sports performance in the second half of the year, Xu Zhengdian mentioned that the automotive business is expected to continue to grow. In the first quarter, the capacity utilization rate of automotive production lines has reached 80%, and there is still room for improvement. Orders from North American customers have remained stable.

Xu Zhengdian mentioned that the lighting business focuses on Taiwan and the European market. The demand for ESG energy-saving lighting continues to increase, and since the replacement cycle of smart lighting has been shortened from the past 5-8 years to 2-3 years, he believes that the market is still large.

The new business layout is gradually fermenting, and the sensing element team has completed product research, focusing on medical monitoring and 3D camera applications. The products cover high-power infrared, D-ToF, iTOF, VCSEL and other components. It is expected that there will be specific business progress in the second half of the year, which will open up a new growth engine for the company.

Looking forward to the market outlook, Xu Zhengdian believes that despite the challenges, Edison has responded through diversified layout and hedging strategies, and its annual operations are driven by the dual engines of automotive and lighting. With the gradual contribution of new product lines, it is still expected to maintain a steady growth trend.
