Dehu Coating Film delivers the first MicroLED coating equipment

On May 11, Dehu Coating Equipment announced the completion of the delivery of the first dedicated precision slit coating equipment for Micro LED, marking the company’s official entry into the field of Micro LED process equipment. This equipment is mainly designed for Micro LED functional layer preparation and pilot development scenarios, covering substrate processing, precision coating, baking and online testing and other process links.

According to reports, the equipment adopts a highly integrated design and is compatible with substrates of different sizes and multiple loading methods. It also integrates functions such as substrate cleaning, precision slit coating, heating baking, and online film thickness measurement to achieve a continuous process from loading to film formation inspection. Compared with the traditional multi-equipment series mode, it can reduce the complexity of process switching in the pilot stage and improve development efficiency.

In terms of core technology, Micro LED functional layers have higher requirements for film thickness uniformity and coating stability. Dehu stated that it has developed a new liquid supply pump system, liquid supply system and process control software in response to the film thickness control requirements in the initial stage of coating, and has improved the uniformity and stability of the film layer through process optimization to meet the needs of Micro LED pilot trials and multi-variety development.

According to data, Dehu Coating Equipment was established in 2014 and is mainly engaged in the research, development and manufacturing of precision coating equipment in the fields of perovskite batteries, flat panel displays, and advanced packaging of integrated circuits. This entry into the Micro LED track also shows that the company is further extending its precision film forming technology to new display fields.

It is worth mentioning that with the advancement of Mini/Micro LED industrialization, the demand for related equipment continues to increase. On May 11, Bohuite announced that it successfully won the bid for equipment bidding for BOE’s Zhuhai Crystal Core Mini/Micro LED COB expansion project, involving automated online transmission systems, vacuum laminating machines, crystal expansion machines and other equipment.

In addition, on April 26, Silicon Power announced that it had signed fixed asset procurement contracts with Jiangxi Zhaochi Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and Jiangxi Zhaochi Crystal Display Co., Ltd. The relevant equipment is mainly used for testing smaller-sized, higher-precision Mini/Micro LED chips.
