In an interview with the media after the meeting, Huang Jianeng said that because this product can open the Mini LED light angle from 130 degrees in the traditional packaging structure to 170 degrees, reducing the density of Mini LED backlight chips and achieving higher brightness, after being adopted by its long-term European LED packaging factory, it entered the German car factory and aroused great recall in the market. Related LED factories have inquired about Changke's lead frame products and related solutions.
Huang Jianeng emphasized that this technological breakthrough will allow existing LCD panel manufacturers to find a weapon that can compete with organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). He believes that these panel manufacturers will be able to continue their existing huge investments in LCDs more than these LED packaging factories.
Huang Jianeng used this material to respond to the legal person's suggestion that the gross profit margin declined in the fourth quarter of last year. He said that the decline in gross profit margin in the fourth quarter was due to the adjustment of semiconductor inventory and the decline in Changke's capacity utilization rate. However, he emphasized that the adjustment of terminal inventory is nearing completion and the current inventory has gradually returned to normal. Although there are no long-term orders yet, some urgent orders have begun. Changke's orders have obviously been rising quarter by quarter, and the trend of rising quarter by quarter this year will be quite clear.
He further pointed out that the gross profit margin will temporarily decline. He believes that the MiniLED metal lead frame will soon increase in volume. With the current production technology capabilities of Changke, it will obtain a very good gross profit margin, because currently only Changke can provide this product in large quantities. As for why it has this advantage, he welcomes legal persons to visit the Kaohsiung factory in person and they will know the reason.
Huang Jianeng said that Mini LED lead frames will initially be used in automotive display panels, but will soon be introduced into laptops and tablets, but the largest market is high-resolution TVs. And using QFN technology, we have extended the development of lead frames for gallium nitride (Gan) and silicon carbide (Sic) substrates for the production of power components such as power management ICs.
He also emphasized that the supply chain of this industry is very complex, and Changke alone is limited by its capabilities. However, he has recently connected LED packaging factories, light source zoning control factories, backlight module factories and LED factories to form a Mini LED material supply alliance, which has been approved by relevant manufacturers to join. He predicts that the market will soon ferment, and Changke's gross profit margin and return on investment will steadily increase, and the long-term gross profit margin will definitely exceed 30%.
