Baihong has locked in niche markets and actively invested in the research and development of special wavelength LED and other technologies.

LED factory Baihong held a press conference yesterday (15th). Spokesperson Liao Xinbei said that some customers have recently seen urgent demand for orders. With several large-scale engineering projects expected to be completed and certified in the third and fourth quarters, they are expected to become an important growth driver in the second half of the year.

Liao Xinbei emphasized that Baihong will continue to deepen its "customized LED products" strategy, lock in niche markets, and actively invest in the research and development of new technologies such as special wavelength LEDs and SWIR LEDs to expand diversified applications.

Baihong's revenue in the first quarter was 249 million yuan (NT$, the same below), a quarterly decrease of 8.79%, an annual decrease of 7%, and the gross profit margin remained at around 30%. Affected by the reduction in revenue scale and expenses, the net profit after tax in the single quarter was 17.72 million yuan, a quarterly decrease of 14.28%, an annual decrease of 45%, and a net profit per share of 0.1 yuan.

Liao Xinbei pointed out that operations in the first quarter were relatively flat, mainly affected by seasonal factors and adjustments to some product mix. Facing the challenges of the external environment, Baihong not only continues to improve its existing LED packaging business, but also invests resources in emerging applications with potential, such as special LED packaging technologies required in the fields of biometrics, semiconductors, and food foreign matter detection.
