BOE’s light curtain technology is available on Xpeng GX and NIO ES9

According to BOE Sensors’ WeChat public account, BOE’s light curtain technology has recently been successfully installed on NIO ES9 and Xpeng GX.

Among them, NIO ES9 is equipped with BOE Shengshi’s first light curtain zone dimming. There are 64 partitions in the whole car, and 11 partitions are finely adjusted, which can switch between transparency and privacy status in milliseconds. The cat-eye mode provided by the solution can ensure a clear field of vision, effectively avoid external interference, and meet the diverse needs in different scenarios.

According to reports, BOE’s light curtain zone dimming uses dye liquid crystal dimming technology, which controls the deflection of liquid crystal molecules through voltage to achieve instant adjustment of transparency. It can highly meet the individual needs of drivers and passengers, and can adjust the transparency of the windows with one button operation, flexibly adapt to various scenarios, and greatly improve driving comfort.

Xiaopeng GX is equipped with BOE Shengshi’s customized light curtain solution, which achieves 0.16-second millisecond-level dimming and accurately drives the deflection of dye liquid crystal molecules through voltage. It is like installing “microscopic smart blinds” on car windows, seamlessly switching between transparent and private states in the blink of an eye.

This solution supports precise intelligent control, can achieve near-complete light shading in dark conditions, and cannot penetrate the outside line of sight; it is deeply integrated with the Xpeng GX smart cockpit system, which can automatically adjust the light transmittance according to the external light intensity and user usage scenarios to achieve intelligent interaction of "people, cars, and the environment"; it uses neutral black display technology to solve the white fog and color cast problems of traditional dimmable glass.
