Valeo partners with Stellantis to launch remanufactured LED headlights and in-car displays

On April 8, Valeo and automaker Stellantis announced the launch of Europe's first remanufactured LED headlights and remanufactured car displays, marking further cooperation and exploration between the two parties on sustainable development business models.

In cooperation with Stellantis, Valeo successfully launched its first remanufactured headlight. It is reported that the LED headlight is manufactured using 50% of the raw materials of scrapped headlights. These raw materials are mainly high-value components such as LED modules. This method of producing car lights can reduce carbon emissions by up to 70%.

In addition, Valeo has also cooperated with Stellantis to launch remanufactured automotive display products. It is reported that high value-added components such as automotive displays are often discarded due to failure, and Valeo and Stellantis remanufacture these discarded automotive displays in Valeo's recycling electronics laboratory in Nevers, France. These products will be launched in June and will be suitable for Peugeot 308, Citroen C3, Aircross and other models.

Valeo stated that by cooperating with Stellantis to expand its remanufactured product portfolio, the company will continue to bring cost-effective automotive lighting and display solutions to customers in the future.

According to data, Valeo is a world-renowned auto parts supplier headquartered in France. Valeo mainly focuses on the research and development, production and sales of automotive technology. Its products cover multiple key automotive systems, including lighting systems, powertrain systems, thermal management systems, and driving assistance systems.

Stellantis is one of the world's leading automobile manufacturing companies, formed in 2021 by the merger of Italian-American Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and France's PSA Peugeot Citroën. Stellantis owns a number of well-known automobile brands, including Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, etc.
