TrendForce: Global OLED display shipments increased by 78% year-on-year in Q1

According to TrendForce’s latest survey, the first quarter of 2026 is the off-season for the OLED display industry, and the peak promotion season in the fourth quarter of 2025 has released brand momentum ahead of schedule, resulting in a quarter-to-quarter decrease of 11% in global shipments. However, from the perspective of annual growth, the annual growth rate of shipments in the first quarter is still as high as 78%, mainly due to the increasingly abundant supply resources of QD-OLED panels, which helps new brands continue to increase their volume and effectively fill the market vacancies.

Analyzing the OLED display market share rankings in the first quarter of 2026, ASUS continues to top the list with a market share of 24%, consolidating its leading position with its comprehensive OLED product line layout. In the new product offensive in the first quarter, ASUS not only launched a 34-inch e-sports magic weapon with an extreme refresh rate of 360Hz, but also continued to expand into the mobile display field, releasing a 16-inch portable OLED display, building a brand moat through a highly differentiated product matrix.

Samsung ranks second with a market share of 16.4%. Thanks to the group's abundant QD-OLED panel resources and its long-term involvement in the high-end display market, even in the off-season, its exclusive specifications (such as the 27-inch QHD 180Hz model) still maintain strong growth momentum, supporting solid shipment performance.

The battle for third and fourth place was stalemate. In the end, MSI won the third place with a market share of 12.2%, narrowly beating AOC/Philips with a market share of 12.1%. The competition between the two major brands has entered deep water, and product performance shows obvious differences: MSI benefits from stable shipments of 31.5-inch models and simultaneously expands its business and high-end e-sports territories. Its 27-inch UHD business model and 34-inch 360Hz ultra-high refresh rate e-sports new product were launched in the first quarter, maintaining its third position with comprehensive product specification upgrades.

AOC/Philips successfully gained a foothold in the market in the first quarter by deeply exploring the core 27-inch QHD market and making a strong push with competitively priced entry-level models. At present, its market share is only a few centimeters behind MSI, showing the trend of "sitting around and looking at three", becoming the most threatening challenger in the market ranking competition.

LGE ranked fifth with a market share of 9.1%. It exclusively launched a 39-inch WUHD OLED 165Hz monitor in the first quarter, and this product is expected to contribute to shipments in the second quarter. LGE's competitive advantage is concentrated in ultra-wide screen products. In the first quarter, this category's shipments accounted for 40%. With the momentum of new products fermenting, the share is expected to challenge 45% in the second quarter. (Source: TrendForce)
