Recently, according to relevant media reports, Noctiluca, a new OLED material developer in Poland, has signed a new material transfer agreement (MTA) with a top Chinese semiconductor display manufacturer. According to the agreement, the Chinese company will conduct comprehensive technical testing and performance verification of the NCEIL series materials independently developed by Noctiluca in its microdisplay (Micro OLED) structure for AR/VR and other devices.
According to the MTA agreement signed this time, Noctiluca will deliver samples of its self-developed NCEIL series materials to its Chinese partners. The Chinese technical team introduced it into its own standard OLED stack structure as the electron injection layer (EIL) for technical evaluation, and compared it horizontally with mainstream commercial solutions currently on the market to evaluate its comprehensive performance on key optoelectronic indicators.
In addition to verifying its function as an electron injection layer (EIL), Chinese companies will also try to use the material as a dopant for the electron transport layer (ETL), and conduct extreme tests on key parameters such as lifespan and efficiency under different doping ratios. Although the agreement at this stage is limited to sample testing and technical verification and does not constitute a direct commercial purchase order, it provides a basis for the two parties to reach a deeper commercial implementation in the future.

Information shows that Noctiluca focuses on the development of third-generation (TADF, thermally activated delayed fluorescence) and fourth-generation high-performance OLED emitters. Its core products include blue fluorescent/TADF luminescent materials, multi-generation combination materials with super-fluorescent properties, and NCEIL series charge transport materials for electron injection layer (EIL) and electron transport layer (ETL).
It is worth noting that Noctiluca has been dynamic in recent times, and the company is promoting customer diversification by actively establishing ties with Asian display manufacturers.
In November and December last year, Noctiluca also signed material transfer agreements and joint development agreements with Chinese flat panel display manufacturers and Chinese XR application microdisplay manufacturers.
This renewed cooperation with China's advanced panel manufacturers will not only help them complete multiple technical certifications of NCEIL materials in actual industrial production environments, but will also further consolidate Noctiluca's position in the OLED material supply market.
