Ledman 8K 163-inch Micro LED giant screen makes world debut

The world’s first 8K 163-inch ultra-high-definition Micro LED giant screen released this time is the world’s largest and highest-resolution Micro LED home giant screen based on Ledman’s independently developed COB packaging technology. It can reach an ultra-high-definition resolution of 7680×4320 pixels and contains more than 100 Ledman’s independent leading LED patents. The powerful intelligent core combined with the Micro LED 8K display has excellent display functions and display effects, which will significantly improve consumers' visual experience.

In February 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration of Radio and Television, the China Central Radio and Television and other departments issued the "Ultra-HD Video Industry Development Action Plan (2019-2022)", proposing to vigorously promote ultra-high-definition video in accordance with the overall technical route of "4K first, taking into account 8K"Industrial development and applications in related fields. On June 6, 2022, the "Opinions of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government on Developing and Strengthening Strategic Emerging Industrial Clusters and Cultivating and Development of Future Industries" was officially released, and the ultra-high-definition video industry cluster is one of the 20 key strategic emerging industry clusters.

Li Mantie, chairman and president of Ledman Optoelectronics, told reporters that since most current home TVs are less than 100 inches in size, the pixel density of 8K TV products in this size range far exceeds the visual resolution limit of the human eye, so it is difficult to distinguish between current 4K and 8K TVs in terms of visual effects. In order to meet users' needs for 8K video viewing, Ledman has calculated that giant screen products of 130 to 200 inches are the best size for viewing 8K videos in a home environment. The 8K 163-inch giant screen product launched this time is based on this original intention.
