LED lighting industry: from barbarism to civilization

"Barbarism is conducive to growth, and civilization can grow." This is an unchanging law in the trajectory of industrial development. However, LED lighting still has a long way to go from barbarism to civilization. It needs to complete the process from price competition to product competition, from product competition to channel competition, and to support brand competition with channel competition.
my country's private enterprises, as well as the private entrepreneurs behind them, have a unique phenomenon. A senior executive of a certain group calls this "barbaric growth" - from scratch, from small to large. The survival logic of private enterprises is both simple and tragic: an era of change, a group of people crossing the river, a force of "barbaric growth". This barbaric growth is more typical in the LED lighting industry.
If we take the launch of my country’s “Semiconductor Lighting Project” in 2003 as a calculation node, my country’s LED lighting industry has entered its 11th year this year. 11 years of development have brought the LED lighting industry from the industrial cultivation stage to the barbaric growth stage.
The barbaric growth of my country's LED lighting industry probably started in 2009, and is now entering a period of rapid development. Many people in the industry believe that the previous wave of bankruptcies in the LED lighting industry from 2012 to 2013 marked the end of the barbaric growth stage of the LED lighting industry. However, the fact is obviously not. For the LED lighting industry, the barbaric growth is just the beginning.
Nowadays, the focus of competition in the LED lighting industry still remains on large-scale circulation products. In 2013, the price competition of LED bulbs and LED ceiling lights has reached a critical point. This year, the focus will be on LED panel lights, LED bracket lights, and perhaps LED light strips. Although there are many categories involved, in order to move from barbarism to civilization, it must penetrate into more fields, thereby completing the process from price competition to product competition, from product competition to channel competition, using channel competition to support brand competition, and finally moving towards capital competition.
During the barbaric growth period, because there were fewer constraints in all aspects, it provided the soil and environment for rapid development of the industry. For many years, my country's LED lighting industry has developed at a rate higher than 20%, which is much higher than the overall economic development level, even close to the 40% development rate. The industry scale has exceeded 200 billion yuan and is heading towards 300 billion yuan.
"Barbarism is conducive to growth, and civilization can grow." This is an unchanging law in the trajectory of industrial development. It is worth noting that during the barbaric growth period, enterprises should seize the opportunity, strive to improve themselves as much as possible, and move towards the path of standardized development. People who have no long-term worries must have immediate worries, and the same is true for enterprises.
For example, in the development of the health care products industry, in the early stages of the industry’s development, a large number of brands developed rapidly and became well-known brands for a time. However, as the industry matures and becomes standardized, how many of them are still in our field of vision now?
In the past, it would take more than ten years or even decades for an industry to mature. However, this is no longer the case. The time from barbarism to civilization will be shortened rapidly. Next, how to change from barbaric growth to civilized growth is the question that LED lighting companies are thinking about.
