Jinko Easy Flash: The “bright new star” supporting the LED flash market

In the dazzling LED market, if a product wants to stand out, it may need to borrow the advantages of a long-established big brand, or it must have the courage to "have what others don't have, and what others have, I have the best" and find a unique way. In 2014, Jinko Electronics (hereinafter referred to as Jinko), which adheres to the road of independent research and development and innovation, once again made efforts and boldly entered the LED flash market, launching the latest generation of 2016 gold-wire-free ceramic substrate packaged Flash LED light source - E-Flash LED. It is understood that this product is suitable for most mobile phone models currently on the market, filling the gap among domestic LED flash manufacturers.

Aiming at the “big prospects” of LED flash and pursuing victory

The increasing popularity of smartphones has led to more and more users using smartphones. As users’ requirements for smartphone camera functions increase, they also have new expectations for flash. At this time, technicians followed the trend and began to shift their research and development direction to higher-performance and more cost-effective LED flash lamps (Flash LED). After nearly ten years of research and development, LED flash (Flash LED) has now become the "heavy weapon" of smartphones, and the penetration rate of LED flash (Flash LED) in smartphones has reached 100%.

The iPhone 6, which has been attracting much attention, recently revealed that it still uses a TrueTone dual-LED flash design with cold and warm LED complementary colors. Samsung's next flagship phone, the Galaxy S5, will use a new integrated reflective LED flash packaging system. Samsung also announced a new LED flash standard that provides a higher level of image color quality. Sony's latest Xperia Z2, which has always been outstanding in sound quality and camera, continues the previous series and is equipped with a 20.7-megapixel Sony G Lens wide-angle lens and a single LED flash. BlackBerry Z10 has a separate LED flash module; LG G3 is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera and has dual LED flash.

In terms of domestic mobile phones, Xiaomi mobile phones, which have become a trend in the past two years, Mi 4 launched in July, are also equipped with an LED flash; Huawei Ascend P7 has an LED flash...

The huge mobile phone market demand has boosted the development of LED flash. However, in the nearly ten years since the development of LED flash in 2005, domestic companies have rarely been involved. At first, only Philips Lumileds was the only one. Now Osram and Everlight Electronics share this market segment, and Samsung mainly supplies its own mobile phone brands. Jinko, which regards innovation as its own responsibility, is not willing to be excluded from this "big cake", and they have focused their innovation on this emerging market. As Jinko's product director Ou Weineng emphasized: "With the continuous technological development and maturity of domestic LED companies, the localization of supply is an irreversible trend in the future." Therefore, Jinko will spare no effort to take the lead and rush to the beach.

Leverage flip-chip soldering technology to quickly achieve success

Jinko is not blind when it comes to developing LED flash. Jinko has always used flip-chip soldering as its core technology. Therefore, when developing LED flash lamps, it also takes this technology as the leading technology and develops easy-flash series products on this technology platform. Ou Weineng said: "Compared with other process products, flip-chip soldering LEDs have obvious advantages in high-current applications. In flash lamp applications, the prominent usage condition is pulsed high-current 1A drive, or even 1.5A drive, which requires LED devices to have stronger performance in terms of withstanding large currents and heat dissipation. These strict application requirements are exactly the embodiment of the advantages of flip-chip soldering products."

With the advantage of "package-free" R&D experience and after a long period of technical research, Jinko took the lead in entering the LED flash market. In 2014, it grandly launched the easy-to-flash series of LED flash. Currently, there are various models of EFD, EFF, and EFG products from 150mA to 1500mA, which are suitable for use on various mobile phones and tablets of different grades.

According to Jinko Electronics Lighting Project Manager Zheng Yongsheng, "This series of products takes full advantage of the technical advantages of flip-chip gold-free packaging. It can be driven by a pulse current of more than 1000mA, and the instantaneous output brightness can reach more than 300lm. It can also achieve ultra-thin and ultra-small size packaging. It will provide an efficient and high-quality product for various digital products and intelligent transportation systems that use flash."
