Huacai Optoelectronics has acquired a land in Wuhan and plans to invest in an OLED key supporting materials project

From March 17th to 18th, 5 industrial land transactions were concentrated through online listing. Among them, Wuhan Huacai Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huacai Optoelectronics") won the No. 02 plot of GongCD (2026), Daji Street, Caidian District, Wuhan City for 9.2 million yuan, with a land area of 39.94 acres. According to the plan, the company will invest 400 million yuan to build the second phase of the Central China base project. After reaching full production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 240 million yuan.

The second phase of the project will mainly produce OLED process protective films, high-frequency and high-speed materials and other key supporting materials. After reaching full production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 240 million yuan.

According to data, Huacai Optoelectronics was founded in Caidian, Wuhan in 2018. It focuses on the import substitution and independent research and development of key electronic materials such as semiconductor process films and photoresist films, and has entered the ranks of suppliers for display panel companies such as BOE, Tianma, and TCL CSOT.

In December 2025, the first phase of Huacai Optoelectronics' Central China Base project was completed and put into production, achieving mass production of electronic-grade protective films. The base covers an area of about 40 acres and has a high-level R&D center and 4 advanced photosensitive film production lines. It will have an annual output value of 240 million yuan after reaching full production capacity.

As a core material in the manufacturing of integrated circuits and flexible OLED displays, photosensitive adhesive film undertakes functions such as structural molding, optical bonding and process assistance based on different material types. Its localization process is of great strategic significance.

The person in charge of the company previously stated that the company will further expand the application fields of electronic special materials in the future, make every effort to solve the supply bottleneck of raw materials in the upstream industry, and achieve comprehensive import substitution in the performance of key materials.
