On August 20, foreign media reported that the Bayern Munich basketball team in Germany announced that it will use LED glass floor screens for games in its home venues next season. The club announced that the installation of LED floor screens at the stadium has begun, and the team has been training on the new stadium. It is expected that the relevant venue use procedures will be approved soon.

The LED glass floor screen installed at the Bayern Munich team's home court is supplied by the German manufacturer ASB GlassFloor. The MultiSports series of LED floor screens produced by this company can realize interactive training applications and AR stage displays, and can display player status, achievements, data and other functions. In terms of protection, the MultiSports series has a high level of shock absorption and elasticity, which can reduce the load on athletes' joints. It is reported that the cooperation between Bayern Munich Basketball Club and ASB GlassFloor will last until 2030.

In addition, previously, another European team, Athens Panathinaikos, also announced that they would use LED floor screens and become the first European League team to use LED glass floor screens for games next season.

It is worth noting that in recent years, LED glass floor screens have gradually entered the sports field. To replace traditional wooden floors, provide safer protection and enrich the content of sports events. LED glass floor screens can not only be used for advertising activities and various sports events, but also eliminate the use of traditional stadium advertising stickers, thereby reducing the risk of player injuries, bringing more entertainment and commerce, and improving the efficiency of stadium use.

In basketball events, as early as 2021, the 3×3 basketball game in the Ruhr District of Bochum was the first to use LED glass floor screens as the competition venue. A year later, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) officially announced changes to the court floor usage rules, allowing elite-level basketball games to use LED glass floor screens to obtain a new event broadcast experience and more sponsorship opportunities. Subsequently, the LED floor screen also appeared at the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup.

During the 2024 American Men’s Basketball NBA All-Star Weekend, the NBA league also used LED floor screens for the first time in the game. This LED floor screen is made of Absen PL series products. It has excellent brightness and color consistency, as well as strong load-bearing capacity and impact resistance, which can provide athletes with a stable and safe sports environment.

During the game, the LED floor screen can change the line layout and floor color according to the on-site conditions, and display game data, lens replays, celebration animations and various graphics in real time. Players can also wear tracking devices for real-time interaction and interactive games with the floor screen.

In the future, with the continued optimization of LED costs and technology, as well as the rapid development of high technologies such as AI, the sports field may increase the use of LED display products, bringing a new sports event experience to athletes and audiences.
