Demand for MiniLED and other products increases, Lite-On's Q2 operations are expected to continue to grow

Lite-On held a press conference on April 30. General Manager Qiu Senbin said that there are currently many external environmental variables. The company will continue to upgrade product specifications and operating models, increase the competitiveness of high-value products and technologies, strengthen global operational efficiency and scale, and provide flexible and resilient global supply chain management. It is still optimistic about operations this year. Qiu Senbin also predicts that the operations of the three core businesses in Q2 will still maintain quarterly and annual growth performance.

Lite-On's Q1 revenue reached 36.4 billion yuan (NT$, the same below), an annual increase of 27%; all three major business departments achieved annual growth. Among them, the gross profit margin was 22.6% and the operating profit margin was 10.1%, both of which increased compared with the same period last year. This was mainly due to the increase in the proportion of high-value businesses, the optimization of global operating efficiency, and the synergy of close collaboration in the supply chain; the net profit after tax in a single quarter was 3.46 billion yuan, and the EPS was 1.51 yuan, an annual increase of 45%.

The company stated that Q1 was mainly due to the smooth shipment of new generation AI server power supplies, cloud computing products and intelligent power management systems. The cloud and IoT sectors grew by more than 50% year-on-year. The core applications of visible light Mini LED and invisible light in optoelectronic semiconductors continued to increase, with revenue increasing by nearly 10% year-on-year. The proportion of high-end products in the information sector increased, and shipments of low-orbit satellite power supplies and smart input devices grew, with revenue increasing by nearly 20% year-on-year.
