On May 7, two key projects, the Rongan Optoelectronics Technology Park and the Kaitou Core Screen Industrial Park, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan, started construction in the Qingdao New Display Industrial Park located in the Qingdao Development Zone. The first batch of park investment ambassadors were also appointed at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The Rongan Optoelectronics Technology Park project has a total investment of 5 billion yuan and a planned construction area of 320,000 square meters. The project is oriented toward building a professional optoelectronic display industrial park, customizing large and medium-sized high-standard specialized electronic factories for new display industry projects to meet the needs of clean workshops ranging from 100 to 10,000 levels. Currently, three optoelectronic companies have agreed to settle in the park, and 12 projects are currently under negotiation.
The Kaitou Xinping Industrial Park project has a total investment of 3 billion yuan and a total construction area of 165,000 square meters. It mainly targets the upstream and downstream of BOE's industrial chain, focusing on the cluster development services of small and medium-sized enterprises and customized services for large and medium-sized enterprises. It builds affordable and durable standardized factories, improves the park's supporting facilities, enhances the space carrier, creates low-cost, large-scale, and well-supported industrial space, assists the development of Qingdao's semiconductor and optoelectronic industries, and promotes the extension of the optoelectronic display industry to the upstream materials field.
